Well, May 1st signifies the end of week five in distance learning and the midway point of this journey. Remember, through this adventure of distance learning, communication is vital. We will take all kinds, text, email, messenger, video chat, phone call, and even old school postal mail. Whatever communication you have available, we will be glad to discuss learning with supporters or learners.
Over the last two weeks, cooking has been the learning activity of choice. From making souffle omelets to lasagne, they are learning something practical and getting credit for it. Well done. Our priorities remain the same for our learners during this time are listed here in order of importance:
For the second half of distance learning, we have a new schedule. Daily videos will be going out Monday - Thursday (and easy way to earn credit), Google Hangouts are Tuesday - Thursdays 12:30-1:30, and we will be sending out daily text check-ins with learners Tuesday - Thursday. Work can be turned in via the lunch busses Monday - Friday. Finally, we are very creative in learning activities for credit. Let us know what your learners are doing and have them answer some basic questions. We will take it from there. What was the activity? Who benefited from the activity? How could the activity have been done better or helped someone more? When did the activity take place? Where did the activity take place? Stay Safe, Stay Strong, and Stay in touch…..
