MAAP STARS Legislative DayMAAP STARS visited the State Capitol for MAAP Legislative Day. We were able to meet with Senator Tony Lourey and Representative Jason Rarick to talk about what it means to have an alternative learning environment as an option for high school, as well as to learn about what our representatives do. We also toured the Capitol Building including the Senate, House, Supreme Court, and Governor's Office.

Many of the Trades were represented, including but not limited to ironworkers, concrete, masons, construction, heavy equipment, and electricians. Many of the learners took advantage of the hands-on simulators and projects in these fields. It was a great opportunity to gain knowledge of careers that are in high demand.
